The evocative Catello di Montozzi, an old medieval stronghold, has been owned by the Bartolini Baldelli family for well over four centuries and is still lived and loved by the three cousins Giovanni, Piero and Luigi and their families. Set on a 450m high hill, it offers magnificent views of the Tuscan countryside, Pratomagno and the Chianti hills. On the terraced fields around the hamlet are our olive groves, from which we produce a high quality and renowned extra virgin olive oil. There are farmhouses up for rental in the hamlet (3 appartments and two independent houses with shared swimming pool) and a big farmhouse not far from the Castle and with its own private swimming pool.
THE AGRICULTURAL ESTATE
On the part of the Castle belonging to Luigi Bartolini Baldelli, the main activity is olive growing as well as forestry and the holiday farmhouses rental.
Visitors can perceive and admire the harmony and complexity of the beautiful surrounding landscape. Around the hamlet, on the terraced fields, there are mostly olive groves opening on the lower side of the estate to wide woodlands. A place of peace and quiet where silence and privacy reign everywhere, it is nevertheless anchored in ancient local traditions. Renowned throughout the territory for its beauty, Castello di Montozzi is also well known for the production of high quality extra virgin olive oil.

FARM HOLIDAY RENTALS 
In the hamlet it is possible to visit our direct sale space, where you can buy typical Tuscan products, among which: Chianti Colli Fiorentini wine produced by us in our family estate in Bagnolo-Impruneta, extra virgin olive oil, vinsanto and grappa. We have recently refurbished a large reception area called “LA SCUDERIA”, ideal for ceremonies, conventions, meetings and tastings, also accessible to handicapped people.
The hamlet of castello di Montozzi is set in a peaceful, natural surrounding not far from the most important art cities in Tuscany: Arezzo (25 km), Firenze (70 Km), Siena (50 Km) and San Gimignano (95 Km.).

TAKE MOTORWAY 'A1', EXIT "VALDARNO", TURN RIGHT. AFTER THE STRAIGHT ROAD, FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR LEVANE. IN THE CITY CENTER OF LEVANE, AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT, TURN LEFT (DIRECTION AREZZO). CONTINUE FOR 4 KM. TAKE THE COUNTRYROAD ON YOUR RIGHT INDICATED BY THE SIGN "CASTELLO DI MONTOZZI". SINCE THERE ARE TWO COUNTRY ROADS WITH THIS SIGN, YOU ARE ADVISED TO TAKE THE SECOND ROAD (THE FIRST IS FOUND ON A STRAIGHT SOON AFTER THE TOWN OF LEVANE, THE SECOND AFTER ABOUT 3KM FROM LEVANE, ON A CURVE TO THE LEFT).
